Fight Corp. is a free action adventure game developed by Erik Skog. In this third-person experience, you get to enjoy a fast-paced mix of platformer and combat games. You play as a company newcomer with an unusual weapon and a wide range of moves — wall jumps, air dashes, vertical wall runs, and more.

Despite being a solo-developed indie game, Fight Corp. has some serious potential, looking like a mix between Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Devil May Cry 4. Surely, its graphics might be a step below the other two, but it’s concept alone makes it worth a try.

Conquer large maps

To start, Fight Corp. has some pretty unique ideas. Its main character, Mitch Metello, wields a stop sign as a weapon. It is not changeable nor upgradeable. The game makes up for it with some sick attacks and combos that are impressively animated. Levels are mostly platformer challenges which conclude with a boss fight. These enemies are well-designed and are not repetitive, adding excitement to the game.

In terms of stage design, the game manages to create a grandiose feel by creating huge stages. The third-person view makes your character appear small most times, emphasizing the environment. This adds to the visual quality of the game, plus it also gives you a sense of how the enemies vary–from those slightly smaller than Mitch to those as large as a building.

Since the game is an independent project from a single developer, there’s still a short list of content for you to play. There are only a few levels available in the game, which creates a short playthrough and leaves plot holes unanswered. However, if you’re willing to test out this fun and exciting game despite the knowledge that it’s still incomplete, you’ll definitely get your fair share of enjoyment.

A tease for something greater

Fight Corp. is a promising fighting platformer experience. It manages to display well-animated fight sequences while also emphasizing the grand scale of its stages. Even the opponents in the game show that they’re well thought of and are not pushovers, with great character designs and challenging gameplay mechanics. If you’ve wondered how it feels to smash things with a stop sign, this is the game for you.
