Eventide Matter is a premium role-playing PC game from Ottropi Games and is a space mining adventure, wherein players will embark on a grand mission to build a wormhole gate to save a distant universe on the brink of destruction. They will need to mine resources necessary for construction while dealing with threats from sentient lifeforms guarding them. 

Comparable to games like Star Ores Inc. or No Man’s Sky, the gameplay in Eventide Matter combines mining and space exploration with survival elements and real-time defense combat for varied and engaging gameplay. It also boasts an impressive pixel art style to round out the experience. 

Intergalactic exodus 

In Eventide Matter, you’re Vanguard Unit 4, a space explorer on a mission to save your universe from extinction by building a Phase Gate that survivors can use to escape. You’ll need to mine exotic resources for the endeavor, but they are being guarded by hostile crystalline lifeforms that attack on sight. Thus begins a race to complete your mission, as your home slowly decays with each passing moment. 

There are six material types to mine in the game, which can be crafted into more advanced components needed to build an intergalactic portal piece by piece. Unlock around 10 modules to customize your ship, be it with powerful lasers, long-range tractor beams, and more. Invest in an expansive tech tree that lets you research and unlock permanent upgrades to provide additional perks and bonuses. 

When the crystalline lifeforms come, you will have to fight them off and defend the portal or risk having it destroyed and starting over again. In addition to your laser blasters, boost your shields to soak up damage and send out attack drones to aid in your defense. Sadly, the whole experience is short-lived, since Eventide Matter lasts only a couple of hours.
