Emu Loader is a software package intended to be incorporated as a graphical user interface (GUI) for game emulators. One of the benefits of this bundle is that it is able to support multiple different third-party emulators. So, it is considered to be quite universal when compared to other systems designed to work with a single program. It offers numerous user-friendly benefits and due to its open-source nature, coding and similar systems are being updated on a regular basis.

Primary Features and Functions

Emu Loader can work with several different systems. These include (but may not be limited to) MAME, UME, WolfMAME, HqMAME and SDMUME. The developers claim that additional variants may also be supported by this architecture. Another interesting feature unique to Emu Loader is that two different emulators can be supported simultaneously. In other words, the user can run entirely disparate MAME-style systems during gameplay. This is advantageous in the event that one package experiences a crash.

Other Benefits and Tools

Emu Loader will sort and group games into discrete categories so that they can be quickly accessed when necessary. The size of the tool bar can be adjusted, favorites lists can be created and it is also possible to customize game settings based off of user preferences.
