Discoverie is a first-person action game where players navigate a dungeon armed with a crossbow, encountering strange creatures. The game offers an immersive experience where the crossbow, with infinite arrows, is the sole weapon, eliminating the need for ammo management. Players must shoot their way through hostile creatures while sparing non-hostile ones.

To escape the dungeon, players must locate keys hidden behind objects, such as paintings, by skillfully shooting them. With six starting lives, players must avoid losing them to creatures' attacks.
