The long-awaited brawle between demon and slayer

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a premium action game and an adaptation of the popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series created by Koyoharu Gotouge. The game uses fast-paced, fighting-style gameplay as its core mechanic.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles comes from the same developer behind the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm series and takes clear inspiration from it. It plays as a third-person brawler with similar gameplay mechanics and a stylish presentation. Story-wise, it closely follows the events of the anime series, including the Mugen Train movie.

Anime action brought to life

In Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, you follow Tanjiro Kamado as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps to avenge his family and search for a way for his sister, Nezuko, to become human again. This game will feel familiar and satisfying for anime fans who want to relive key moments. Cutscenes can be skipped, which is nice if you just want to jump straight into fights.

The game is still easy to enjoy even if you’re not familiar with the anime or manga. Optional vignettes unlock as you play, adding extra story moments and background details. However, some elements aren’t fully explained, which longtime fans will appreciate more than newcomers who may miss their significance. Even so, the overall flow remains solid, especially if your main focus is on the combat rather than following every plot detail closely.

Experience the epic Demon Slayer saga all over again

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles’ combat is where the game really stands out, with flashy battles and strong visuals that make each fight feel dramatic and intense. The roster of playable characters is solid, although options are limited during the early game. More fighters unlock as you advance, which requires some patience. A downside is that many characters share similar controls, making gameplay feel repetitive despite their unique animations and visual effects.

Recent updates for Hinokami Chronicles have focused on character balance adjustments and roster expansion. Free updates added playable demons such as Rui and Akaza, while later patches introduced Entertainment District arc fighters, including Tengen Uzui, Daki, and Gyutaro. Balance patches refined combo scaling, reduced infinite loop strategies, and adjusted damage values for competitive fairness. Additional updates improved online matchmaking stability and reduced input delay in ranked matches.

A stylish anime fighter that shines for fans

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles succeeds as a visually striking anime adaptation that captures the excitement of the series through cinematic storytelling and flashy combat. While its accessible mechanics make battles enjoyable, limited gameplay depth and repetitive controls may affect long-term appeal. Still, for Demon Slayer fans and casual fighting game players, it delivers an entertaining and faithful experience.
