Deadbeat is an action game with RPG elements with tight controls and crazy combat, boasting a Souls-like gameplay. Developed by Halfwheel Games, this isometric action game is a surreal and quirky game set in the afterlife.  

In Deadbeat you play the part of Singer, a helpless young man who is forced into a deal with Alto, a sneering Demon that has a lot of secrets. Until Alto's demands are met, Singer is stuck in the Hereafter with his voice stolen and weird new abilities at his disposal. and the elimination of his competitors.

In Deadbeat the focus is on melee combat, encouraging players to string together combos while utilizing agility to dodge and counter enemy attacks. This game is also fast-paced and brutal, punishing mistakes and rewarding mastery. Despite the emphasis on fluid movement and combat, some players have noted that the game lacks depth in its combo system, which may affect long-term engagement. 

This game features tons of skills for you to collect and master, stringing your own combos to create your own gameplay, playing around devastating attacks or opting for swift maneuverability. It also promotes exploration with its diverse locations, look out for secrets hiding beneath the surface to help you in your encounters. There are various enemies and bosses to fight so master your timings and be not afraid. 

The game uses simple 2D graphics in an isometric view to deliver a fast-paced action gameplay. The map is massive with multiple mobs of enemies and bosses with differing move sets. There are also friends you can find, with unique lore that can be learned by interacting with them. However, the map and level design can be a bit lacking at times. Moreover, the game is too short.
