DATE WITH the NIGHT is an action game. It is a thrilling noir survival horror game set in 1948, following private investigator Ben O’Hara as he unravels the mystery behind an abandoned apartment building where all the tenants have disappeared. As you explore, you’ll gather clues and fight horrific creatures in the dark.  

DATE WITH the NIGHT combines classic survival horror elements like limited resources, inventory management, and creepy atmospheric environments, with the added tension of disturbing detective work. In this sequel to GHOST at DAWN, the story takes center stage, with Ben O'Hara and his new assistant, Yuhiko Kosuke.  

A private eye's worst nightmare 

In DATE WITH the NIGHT, the pair will be working together to survive the nightmarish horrors awaiting them. It revolves around piecing together clues to uncover the sinister truth behind the disappearances while surviving encounters with monstrous entities. The combat system lets you use both guns and melee weapons, with upgrades available for your arsenal. As you progress, you’ll unlock alternate costumes, weapons, and various endings based on your choices. 

The cinematic camera perspectives heighten the tension, offering a mix of exploration and action as you try to survive. Its dark, moody soundtrack complements the noir aesthetic, adding to the sense of dread. It has the resource management aspect, where every item counts, and intense gunfights and melee combat against grotesque foes. However, there is limited replayability once all endings are unlocked and difficulty spikes in some combat sequences 

Resource scarcity may frustrate some players, and camera angles can be disorienting at times. Inventory management can become overwhelming in the game, as well as repetitive combat for some players, story progression can be slow in certain sections, some players may find the puzzles too easy, the atmosphere may be too dark for some players' taste, and limited character customization options.
