Epic horror escape game
What would you do if you heard a bloodthirsty monster was living in your sewers? You can run away, or you can go down there and find proof! Crawlerphobia is a single-player horror game that takes you on an adventure to the unknown. In the game, you’ve already gone down the sewers with your friends but eventually ended up alone and lost. What’s worse is that you hear a blood-curdling scream. Could it actually be the cryptid?
Crawlerphobia centers around a creature called the Crawler. At the beginning of the game, there’s no proof of its existence. You decide to put the rumors to rest and see the Crawler yourself. Turns out, it's actually real. You see its pale, slimy skin, long-limbs, and long, emaciated body. The Crawler is hungry, and fortunately for him, you don’t know your way out. At this point, the goal of the game changes: get out of the sewer alive.
The catch is that your only source of light is a rundown VHS camera so your vision is impaired. Your life will depend on these controls: WASD, Left shift, Left, and C are for movement, running, crouching, and crawling respectively. You can also interact with items using the E key, then save them to your inventory by pressing Tab. It will be incredibly challenging and frightening facing the monster, so choose where you hide carefully.
It’s also important that you try to interact with items you come across in the tunnel as much as you can. Down there, anything can serve as a weapon, so gather as many as you can. What happens if you don’t make it out of the tunnel? The game will stop, and play for you the ending sequence related to your death. There is also an ending sequence for you when you make it out alive.
Crawlerphobia is an epic horror game that will leave you at the edge of your seat. The cramped space and dark hallways create the perfect atmosphere for a good scare. You’re in for a treat as there are multiple endings to unlock, adding to the replayability of the game. The controls are also quite easy to follow and get used to so, it’s all up to you to find the best way out.
