Counter Strike 1.6: Half Life Mod is a fairly simple fan created rebuilt Counter Strike within the original Half Life. Considering the game is nearly twenty years old, the graphics are extremely dated but this has allowed the game to be played within a browser. Players can join multiplayer classic terrorists Counter Strike matches, play against bots or play single-player campaigns and scenarios. A huge range of custom options and settings are available to play around with. While the nostalgia and novelty are initially fun, the lack of a player base means near constant bot matches and single-player content. Counter Strike 1.6: Half Life Mod also requires specific browsers and Unity plug-ins to work and can often encounter technical issues. Despite these problems, having a free version of classic Counter Strike available to play in a browser is fun enough in its own right.
