Rising Cities is a free-to-play urban development and strategy game similar to SimCity. Rising Cities simply requires a web browser to play and is all about power, funding, strategy and urban development. Like SimCity, Rising Cities is a long term strategy game where you have to spend hours and hours building your metropolis. Your main source of funding is rent from inhabitants of your city. With this you can develop industry, power plants, infrastructure and lots of other buildings that are necessary to make your city thrive. A nice feature is that you can also build-up trade relations with other Rising Cities online players. Overall however, you can't help feeling that Rising Cities is something of an imitation of SimCity but if you can't afford the latter, its worth a try.
