Blindfire is an action game that delivers a unique FPS experience with pitch-black arenas reminiscent of laser tag. Developed by Double Eleven, this game promises a high-tech gadget shooter playthrough that intensifies gameplay and delivers quick, high-tension matches with friends or other players. 

In Blindfire, light is a rarity, instead, players are tasked to adapt to the dark environment and night vision mechanics to win gun duels against other players. Players are given tools to navigate space such as room scanners and echo mechanics to help navigate the arena and locate opponents.

Master the pitch-black arena 

Blindfire excels with its pitch-black arena that forces players to adapt, making use of various cues such as paint, sounds, and gadgets to completely navigate the arena while tactically eliminating enemies one by one. Brave the arena alone or team up in matches of up to 8 players, with differing game modes such as Bodycount mode, players are treated to variety in gameplay. 

In addition, the black-out mechanic is not only the highlight, but the gunplay is also rather unique, playing tactically more than other shooters due to the limited information available, relying on information, or reacting to it in the heat of battle. Light them up with skill as you master the arena and the various gadgets in your arsenal. However, the game is still in early access, meaning players are sparse for now. 

This shooter excels with its graphical strength of street style art with an emphasis on graffiti that marks the walls to help players navigate the arena and distinct neon colors to distinguish between players, guns, and other obstacles. While the overall game is good and has a strong foundation, it’s still in early access and therefore is lacking in levels, guns, and tools for it to truly shine. 

A promising FPS with a unique twist 

Blindfire shows immense promise. The core gameplay loop is incredibly engaging and offers a unique challenge that sets it apart from other FPS titles, demanding a different approach to combat and strategy. With further development, the addition of more content, and a growing player base, the game has the potential to become a truly standout experience in the competitive FPS arena.
