A tabletop role-playing game
Asunder is a single-player role-playing game that invites players to a sidescrolling platformer gameplay experience that is set in a world wherein you can’t find any metal. Instead, the world is composed of plants and insects transformed into living weapons as the divine Essence inside humans bonded with them. Developed by Zed Zeek, it’s available on PC.
Asunder works similarly to Diablo® IV - Season of Hatred Rising, Elden Ring, Dark Souls III, and God of War—which gives players an action and RPG experience. This game is inspired by Warlords Battlecry III, only without the base building.
Plants and insects that turn into living weapons and machines
In Asunder, players take on the role of Seekers wherein they need to traverse the world surrounded with alien flora and fauna as they complete their mission. Here, players can encounter new life throughout their journey, and they can visit a wide biome of the game’s setting, leading to finding companionship as they travel. Your mission here as a player is to defend your world from a threatening attack.
As a Seeker, you’ll have access to a guide in this game that consists of all the rules that you need to follow as you play and as you serve as a Keeper as well of your environment. In this game, you must seek the truth, power, and belonging in this world that doesn’t have any metal or gods. All you have is yourself.
This RPG lets you discover the mysteries of the world you’re traversing after Gaia, the source of life, devoured the land. As chaos and conflict arise due to Gaia destroying the land, you should find out if she’s really the mother of the land or simply an enemy. Here, you have the entire freedom to choose where you want to go on the map. However, as this game offers side-scrolling mechanics, it doesn’t offer intense combat to players.
Play as a seeker in a world without metal
If you’re into role-playing games with side-scrolling gameplay mechanics, Asunder is a must-try game. Here, you’ll play as a Seeker and a Keeper traversing a world surrounded by plants and insects where metals and gods don’t exist. In this game, it’s only you who can discover the truth about the world you’re traversing. Your mission here as a player is to find out who is Gaia, a mother of the land you’re in or an enemy.
