The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic landscape, where some people are infected and turned into flesh-hungry mutants that prowl at night. However, life has not stopped for one particular part of the world. You play as a lone gas station operator in a rural area along the titular Ash Road, catering to the needs of a few survivors, while surviving the dangers at night.

The gameplay of Ash Road: Infection revolves around two core elements. During the day, you must restock shelves and manage a limited fuel supply for the rare customers who drop by. You also need to ensure your generators are running properly as you approach nighttime. Come nightfall, fortify your station to withstand attacks from infected mutants trying to break in.

As you progress, unlock upgrades to strengthen your defenses and even expand your station to make it harder for the infected to get in and increase your chances of making it out to see another sunrise.
