Top-down shooter amid post-apocalyptic chaos

ZERO Sievert is a premium action game set in a post-apocalyptic era where survival is getting harder and harder, and monsters are on every corner. Developed by CABO studio, this extraction shooter charges at you in your most vulnerable moments as the dilapidated lands contain horror few can contain.

ZERO Sievert is a loot and quest type of game. This sequence is your bread and butter as you venture into the deadly land where enemies are fast and hungry. Scavenge, loot, and modify your weapons to get the best chances of survival if you can.

Danger around the corner

ZERO Sievert puts players in a dire position in a post-apocalyptic setting where they don’t know the dangers that lurk within. The gameplay largely revolves around scavenging and defending as you try your best to find safety in these dire lands. Scavenge and collect all the materials you can to increase your survival. This game offers a wide variety of weapons to choose from and modify.

The game is procedurally generated, forcing players to rethink their strategies every time they boot into a game. This also increases replayability as every map and journey serves to be different. The loot available in this game is massive, with more than 100 items to be looted, crafted, and upgraded for your base. However, the scavenge-and-loot gameplay loop can be repetitive after a while.

It features 32-bit stylized graphics in a zoomed-out, top-down view, which puts the danger you’re about to embark on into perspective. The variety of enemies in the game is no joke either, sporting mutated monsters and wildlife alike. The colors complement the apocalypse with its drab and dead-looking world. While the gameplay is overall decent, the lack of variety in terms of gameplay can bore players after a while.

The Armoury Update unlocks new tactical options

Your selection of firearms becomes even more diverse with The Armoury Update in ZERO Sievert. It brings new weapons, including the 12x70mm Paiga 12 semi-automatic shotgun, which excels at close range and gives strong crowd control. Another addition is OUG, which is available in two variants: 5.56mm for mid-to-long-range combat and 9x19mm for close-quarters encounters.

For aggressive pushes, speed, and mobility, players can use the NP9. On the other hand, the .45 ACP delivers slower fire but brutal damage with every shot, perfect for heavier hitting. The update also brings a new ammunition type, 12x70mm AP Buckshot, which can pierce armor that regular buckshot cannot.

Beyond weapons, the update introduces features that improve gameplay. The Fire Mode Icon now clearly indicates which firing mode is active. The Quick Attachment Handling feature lets you attach or detach mods without requiring the modding menu. Additionally, the update brings bug fixes and NPC enhancements, reflecting the developers’ commitment to a smoother, more polished experience for all players.

Survival meets strategy in a grim world

ZERO Sievert challenges players to survive in a procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world filled with danger. With an emphasis on scavenging, crafting, and combat, it offers a tense, immersive experience where every run feels unique. The 32-bit graphics and varied enemies enhance the atmosphere, though the gameplay loop might become repetitive over time. Despite this, fans of survival shooters will find a lot to enjoy in its intense and strategic gameplay.
