X-Out: Resurfaced is an action game. It’s a faithful remake of the 1990s side-scroller underwater shoot ‘em up that captivated fans with its unique setting and challenging gameplay. The new version takes everything that made the original great and amplifies it with modern graphics, enhanced soundtracks, and updated mechanics.  

In X-Out: Resurfaced, as the sole defender against an alien invasion, you must build and customize a fleet of ships, carefully selecting weapons and upgrades to withstand waves of enemies. The improved shop system remains a highlight, allowing players to experiment with different load-outs for a unique experience each time.

The difficulty setting in the entirety of the game remains steep, staying true to the original’s unforgiving nature, which may appeal to veteran players but could be daunting for newcomers. The addition of Mirror Mode, which reverses levels for a fresh challenge, and a local co-op option for shared adventures, ensures that this action game has plenty of replay value. 

Although the lack of an online multiplayer mode in the game might disappoint some, the sheer amount of customization and strategic depth keeps the experience engaging. The inclusion of cheats makes the game more accessible for those who might struggle with the higher difficulty settings, providing a welcome option for less experienced players. However, there is a limited storyline focus as well.
