To provide a free word processor to students who may not have access to Microsoft Office at home and are using Windows WordPad as an alternative. Wordz comes with advanced features such as spell checking, live spell checking (where a wiggly red line is placed under offending words) and hyperlinking.

Excluding dictionaries, Wordz is really compact at just under 2Mb. Wordz is also 100% portable and can be either installed onto a flash drive or just copied across and run from there.

Something which really lacks in WordPad is Spell Checking and Live Spell Checking and I have addressed these issues in Wordz. Portability and speed.

I am 13 year old and I wrote Wordz primarily for my friends at school who did not have access to Microsoft Office at home and were using WordPad as an alternative. I set out to create an application which is more feature rich than Windows WordPad.
