Vibes is a free experience for Roblox created by 4TPK. The game is essentially not much more than an environment to experience. This is yet another experience created during the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, which explains its sudden fall in popularity. At its height, Vibes amassed over 1.1 million players, of 34,639 deemed the game good enough to appear on their favorites list. 

Vibes doesn’t have the most compelling or riveting gameplay, but it’s a beautiful experience nonetheless. However, if you prefer more exciting gameplay, you might want to try My Hero Bizarre Adventures. If you, instead, are expressly looking for an experience that is little more than a place to spend time with people online, you might find what you’re looking for in Psych Hangout. 

Paramount design

One look at the environment in which you spawn, and you’ll understand the choice of wording. Roblox isn’t a platform that typically has a reputation for AAA-level graphics and environments. However, experiences like Vibe skirt the line between Roblox indie developers and highly-funded graphic and level designers. This game is simply stunning. 

The lighting is exactly what you’d expect in a typical nightlife city scene, which is what this game is. There are areas of abject darkness, which also rings true to walking around some cities at night. 

Premium

This word has two meanings. It refers to the feel of the experience, as well as the price point. The addition of highly reflective surfaces and high-end furnishings push the premium feel over the edge. However,  there’s a lot in this experience that you’ll be expected to pay for. 

Whether you want to buy a high-end apartment or see what’s behind the club’s understated VIP door, you’ll have to shell out quite a small fortune in Robux. 

Trophies

In an odd turn for a game purely about the Vibes, this one gives you trophies. These will appear in your notifications randomly and can be earned by walking up to one of the few NPCs, getting hit by a car, or jumping in front of the underground train. The game is, however, so light on gameplay elements that jumping in front of a virtual train is something you’ll likely find yourself doing out of boredom.

The key aspect of Vibes that makes the game feel boring is that there is so much emphasis on Robux and those who spend it indiscriminately. The motivation to make extra cash is an understandable part of any digital experience nowadays.

However, such heavy emphasis in an experience that is devoid of anything interesting to do seems a little like an overt and unapologetic cash grab.
