Each boss has its own unique attack patterns, which means players need to be careful and quick to defeat them. The game also features platforming elements, where players must climb, break obstacles, and move objects to advance. 

The visuals of Vapor World: Over The Mind are entirely hand-drawn, giving the game a unique and moody atmosphere. The 2D art style, combined with dynamic perspectives, creates a sense of depth and immersion that makes the dream world feel alive.
