Vantage WordPress Theme is a free theme for WordPress blogs and websites. It provides one- or two-column layout options and can feature a sidebar on either the right- or left-hand side. Its default colours, with clear black-on-white and a subdued brown top banner, speak to using it for business. It even includes plugins such as WooCommerce that are useful for small business sales and blogging.

Easy And Hard

Vantage WordPress Theme is bundled with a few useful plugins, such as MetaSlider. It is not, however, any easier to install than most WordPress themes. That doesn't mean it's difficult to install, but it's not particularly easy either. Once it's installed the included plugins integrate extremely well with the theme; the theme itself looks good out of the box, as well. In our testing, the one-column version of the theme looked best; the two-column version is similar and quite serviceable. There does not seem to be a three-column version.

A Good Theme

If you're shopping around for the best possible theme, then you should be willing to manually install the theme you choose, if need be. Thus, we can't be too hard on Vantage for not having an install tool (though it will probably work with general WordPress theme management tools). If you want a theme that looks simple and clean, and that puts an absolute emphasis on the content of the website, Vantage WordPress Theme is a good choice.
