UPWORDS is a classic board game developed by Lonely Star Software Inc. and is available for iPhone users. The game is featured in the App Store for World Battle Games. The gameplay is unique, as it adds another dimension to crossword board games. The objective is to build words by playing letters across, down, and stacked atop existing letters. This 3-dimensional gameplay allows players to change existing words into new words.

The game rewards players with points for each letter tile in their word and every letter tile under their word. The higher the stack, the higher the score. UPWORDS also offers online multiplayer with friends or random opponents, online challenges to win tokens against other players, play against the computer opponent with four skill levels, pass and play for 1-4 players, player rankings and stats, and in-game chat. The game is free to download and play but contains ads. However, players can remove ads in the Store section of the app.
