Trust the Watchers is a free adventure game from indie developer Bad Light Games. It's a first-person horror title set during the medieval times and features pixel art. It revolves around three soldiers around a campfire and recounts their pondering over the fire during their night watch.

Around a campfire

Trust the Watchers takes place in some forest in the dark of night, wherein three soldiers huddled around their campfire, and you play as one of them. Talking about your miserable fortunes being assigned to night watch, you go about your task of collecting wood to keep your campfire going.

As you go back and forth slowly collecting, your fellow soldiers suddenly disappear, and you start looking where they might have gone. During your search, you stumble upon a trail of blood and proceed to follow it toward a tree bark. Be aware the gameplay is rather short.

Perils of the nightwatch

All in all, Trust the Watchers is a short but interesting horror experience set in an equally intriguing historical setting. If you're a fan of the genre and of things Medieval, give this one a try. It does not last for long but is worth playing all the same.
