Triangle Run is a 3D action game created by indie developer Terry Cavanagh. This free-to-play game challenges players to control a triangular character as it navigates a never-ending map. The catch, there are no guarding rails and supports, and the road is full of potholes and jagged edges, making the trip difficult.

Triangle Run is an exciting running game, like Gotta Fly. However, unlike this title, the map is anything but simple. Think Super Mario Kart's Rainbow Road, but with a run and jump gameplay. Although what makes it more difficult is that the map changes every time you die. 

How do you play this game?

Triangle Run's mechanics are easy enough to understand. As mentioned, the game will have you control a triangle as it runs on an endless road.  As soon as you press the Start button, the triangle will start running forward, and you can control him by clicking the left and right navigation and the jump button. The triangle runs at a fixed speed, meaning there will be no slowing down.

However, what makes the whole setup above your average premise is that maps are challenging. As noted, there are no guardrails and support on either side. Some of the pathways are also extremely narrow, leaving little room for error. Additionally, there are endless booby traps that can hinder you from reaching a longer distance. Moreover, it involves a lot of jumping parkour-style from ledges to building tops and beyond.

In each session, the players will have three lives. And every time a player loses all three lives, the map changes completely. This makes the game fresh and interesting and eliminates the idea of memorizing the map to clear it. Additionally, the triangle is surprisingly nimble, making it too responsive with every press of the button. All these make the game have a rather steep learning curve to get started.

Is the game good?

Overall, Triangle Run is a game that offers simple yet intense gameplay. Its mechanics are easy to understand but clearing a long-distance proves to be difficult. It requires skills to get started as the maps come with tons of traps. It is also a challenge to control the triangle to do what you want. Nevertheless, it is a fun game that provides lots of thrills.
