In this version of the game, there’s only one character to play, which is not surprising at all for GZDoom mods. There are also a number of additional movement mechanics such as wall jumps and slide dashes. Still, the game could use more levels because its limited stages make the gameplay short and rather unsatisfactory. There are not a lot of locations to enjoy combat and motions.

Overall, The Space Pirate Mod can be considered one of the better mods for the GZDoom platform. It introduces a fast-paced action experience with a light premise. As the titular space pirate, you are granted all-new weapons as well as new movement mechanics, opening up new possibilities as you play, despite the enemies looking like they were lifted directly from Doom.
