The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr is an expansion pack developed by ZeniMax Media Inc and published by Bethesda Softworks LLC. The DLC for the role-playing game features new regions and a new class. It advances the plot of The Elder Scrolls Online with new contents.

The Return of the Dragons and Undead

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr is part of The Elder Scrolls Online’s Season of the Dragon campaign for 2019. The prior DLC was Wrathstone, which was launched in February and March 2019. In this game pack, players have challenged ruins like Frostvault and the Depths of Malatar. Daring adventurers have also faced and defeated ancient guardians and Daedric agents,  and amassed bountiful loots. More, they have acquired the eponymous Wrathstone. 

The newest DLC features new challenging contents for all players of Tamriel. Players can now explore the exotic Northern Elsweyr, known by some as Anequina. Northern Elsweyr is a fantastical world comprised of savannas, fertile grasslands, desert canyons, and dense jungles. This where the addictive moon-sugar is illegally cultivated. Predatorial beasts and bandits also inhabit the outskirts of Northern Elsweyr. The capital of Rimmen is occupied by Imperial mercenaries, taking the locals as both residents and captives. There are also ancient Khajiiti ruins with hidden treasures as loot for players.

In the game pack, dragons have overrun the Northern Elsweyr, and the lives of Khajiiti beastmen are in danger. Players will need to defend the Khajiiti homeland from the rampaging dragons and discover the cause of their violent outrage. There are two ways to face the dragons. The first is to enter Sunspire and attack the ancient temple of Alkosh. Players will have a very difficult 12-player raid against dragon bosses. The second option is to explore Elsweyr. Elsweyr is filled with contents like Public Dungeons, Solo or Group Delves, and World Bosses.

Another feature that players can look forward to is a new class, which is the Necromancer. Necromancers are practitioners of the dark, forbidden arts. They can take control of the undead, enhance their own strength from bones, and even revive fallen allies. Players with the necromancer class can also manipulate corpses from newly-slain enemies as a temporary power-up. This encourages positioning and tactical play-style for more effective combat.

More Challenges For Tamriel To Come

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr brings the terror of dragons in Tamriel, but players get to try the Necromancer class. More tales and stories unfold as new regions as the Season of the Dragon pushes forward in 2019.
