The Donnerwald Experiment is a role-playing game that will put you in the shoes of Johanna Prokuri, an expert in making automatons and other machinery. Her current dilemma? Her creativity is lost and gone. Without it, she will not be able to make new machines and she will inevitably spiral down to an irredeemable state. Your job, therefore, is to help her find it before she turns into a monster! 

Chasing the dream

In this game, chasing the dream is not exactly a good thing but it is something you must do in order to get back Johanna’s creativity. To give you more context, the dream you are chasing after is actually the Dream Demon and it is the one responsible for infecting Johanna with a disease called Mare Noctem. If she is not cured, she will inevitably turn into a demon, as well! In your quest to catch the Dream Demon, you will be going on a wild adventure in many different places. Do not worry, though, because you will not be alone in your journey! In your dreams, you will be visited by Montgomery, a friendly mole who will guide you through the dreamscapes and help you defeat other monsters that reside in it.

The Donnerwald Experiment has nice cartoon graphics and even with its adventurous gameplay, you will find yourself at peace and relaxed while playing it. There are also lots of interesting characters, like Montgomery and other odd-looking monsters that you surely would be excited to meet and interact with. When it comes to combat, it will mostly be shooting your enemies from a distance. The Donnerwald Experiment has its own exciting adventures and even animated scenes in between levels and quests, too, so the action scenes and combat are not the only things to look forward to.
