THE CUBE, SAVE US is a free-to-play, action-packed MMORPG developed and published by XLGAMES for PC. Set in a post-apocalyptic reality ruled by brutality, you must explore ever-changing worlds full of various monsters and terrifying terrains that can either make or break you. 

Illustrated in realistic 3D graphics, THE CUBE, SAVE US delivers a gratifying experience with its atmospheric worlds, battle royale mechanics, and online co-operative gameplay. This third-person exploration title centers around escaping the Cube, which is filled with what were once allies but are now twisted mutants and raiders. 

Escape the cube 

In THE CUBE, SAVE US, the story starts during a new Cold War, when everyone is on the edge, just waiting for anything or anyone to stir up the pot and unleash their suppressed feelings that can ignite the flames of conflict. Then, a cube mysteriously appeared, and suddenly, a catastrophe wreaked havoc across the world, consuming all of humanity in nuclear fire. 

Now, as one of the last remaining survivors, you must survive all the cube’s trials to get everything you need to live a fruitful life. However, the cube has 27 ever-shifting pieces, and each of them, which are called a cube gate, is home to ever-changing terrains and dangerous monsters that you must overcome. Find powerful weapons, utilize special abilities, and make sound decisions to escape the cube. 

Unfortunately, this game suffers from a wide range of issues, which are detrimental to the overall experience of your playthrough. For instance, it lacks tutorials and provides no information about the actual gameplay, with its combat system being too abysmal. The worst part of it all is that matchmaking takes an average of five minutes, and another five minutes to even start the game. 

Ambitious MMO survival 

THE CUBE, SAVE US presents an ambitious blend of MMO survival, battle royale tension, and co-op exploration within a striking, ever-changing world. While its atmosphere and core ideas show promise, the lack of guidance, clunky combat, and frustrating matchmaking significantly hold it back. If you’re drawn to its concept, you can find a more polished experience in similar titles like ARC Raiders or Dark and Darker.
