COD4 Rooftops 2 is a free-to-use game utility developed for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. This action experience continues from where the COD4 Rooftops mod ends, providing players with an all-new campaign that follows the British SAS playing cat-and-mouse with foreign spies across southern Europe. Aside from staying alive and eliminating enemies, it will be up to you and your squad to stop another world war.

New heroes, new missions

In COD4 Rooftops 2, you meet the Rooftops, heroes from Task Force 99. As they discover undercover operations led by a Russian general bent on restoring the former Soviet Union, the covert specialists are once again left behind enemy lines. They are not allowed to request tactical support or even consider the report official, lest they risk a global conflict. This story has the makings of a fan favorite.

As a community-driven project, each of the custom characters–playable and otherwise–are given their own voice lines recorded by actual voice actors who volunteered for the project. This creates a sense of legitimacy to the mod, making it feel like an official Activision release. Also, the game also features new and original cutscenes developed specifically to capture pivotal moments in the story.

While it is an immersive, story-driven game, the mod is not for everyone. For starters, the mod doesn’t work well with all versions of the game. Certain versions of the mod work for certain versions of the game. As for the game itself, brace yourself as it is generally more difficult compared to any of the campaigns in the vanilla version.

Expand your COD4 experience

Story-wise, it would be great to play the first Rooftops mod before the COD4 Rooftops 2. If you can move without the backstories, then dive right ahead. It has the usual makings of a covert action-adventure game. Even better, it uses unique voice lines created specifically for this project. If you’re looking for more COD4 content, this is a must-have.
