Similar in style to the Need For Speed series, The Crew is an always online racing game. Set across five separate famous US cities, players compete against NPC cars for car parts and high scores, building their own desired racer. Other players inhabit the same world and can be challenged for extra points or befriended and recruited to a personal crew. The amount of content on offer is the most impressive aspect of The Crew, with such a variety of car types and parts that a dedicated player could spend hundreds of hours fine tuning their vehicles. Graphically, the game has aged somewhat over the past four years but has managed to maintain a healthy player base. Recent upgrades have caused some issues for players with running the game but this seems to be only impacting a minority of players.

The Crew is a typical racer in gameplay terms with enough grinding to keep engagement high over a hefty time-frame.
