Talking Tom Hero Dash is about Tom and his friends gaining superpowers. They decided to use it to defeat the Raccoon Gangs. Fans of Talking Friends might notice that this game is a rehash of Talking Tom Gold Rush. The only difference is the theme although the core gameplay mechanics still remains the same: Run in farther distances, collect coins, hit the raccoons and avoid obstacles like roadblocks, vehicles and bottomless pits. Players can jump, slide and punch raccoons as well as breakable gates guarded by enemies. If they got knocked down, players are given the choice to either continue and consume in-game credits, or retreat and restart the run. They can opt to watch the sponsored advertisement as means of extra credits or resuming from their previous run. Their progress like accumulated coins, raccoons defeated and distance covered are saved for the high score. Players initially take the role of Tom. They have to rescue Angela, Hank, Ginger, and Ben in order to unlock them. The game has a large stage selection. Each town is divided into themes like metropolis, beachside, and Chinatown. There are also thematic rooftop bonus sections that give extra coins. Players can fight the boss by doing runs and spending the coins they have gained to literally clean the town from crime. This also unlocks the next town. Different locations are accessible through warp gates or eventually clearing a boss fight from a town. Players can pick up powerups that are lying on the ground. It can boost players to further distances, enhance their jumping, shield them from enemy raccoons, attract coins and unleash stronger superpower. The game can be very confusing because there are too many things happening on the screen. Sometimes a defeated raccoon flies towards the screen, probably obscuring any upcoming obstacles. This game includes unlockable costumes for Tom and his friends to customize their usual looks. Players can participate in Special Events that include limited time missions with special rewards.
