Summermyst – the Enchantments of Skyrim is a free mod for Skyrim Special Edition. This mod adds 120 new enchantments to the game's crafting system. The new enchantments can be applied to armor or weapons and found in loot throughout the gaming world. Summermyst also changes some of the existing enchantments.

Like other mods similar to the Ordinator, Summermyst adds depth and complexity to the existing system. In addition, it adds many new enchantments so that both the players and their enemies can access a wider range of custom weapons and armor for more gameplay variety.

Experiment with new enchantments

Skyrim's playable characters can now customize their equipment with enchantments. Installing Summermyst will add 71 more armor enchantments and 49 weapon enchantments to the game. Some of these are easy to use, such as Fortify Power Attack, which reduces the cost of melee Power Attacks. Others are trickier, such as Beaconbound, which deals magic damage but only near particular landmarks.

The player character is not the only one who can use these new enchantments. Items with new enchantments can appear in the shops or as loot in the game. They can also appear in the hands of enemies, making some abilities both threats and assets, like the explosive Soul Burst power.

New options and challenges

Summermyst adds many new Skyrim gameplay options. Completists are sure to enjoy learning all the new enchantments, while others may prefer to focus on just the best enchantments. Combining this with other mods, such as Ordinator, can make the game a much more complex system.

Summermyst is a player-created mod, so incompatibility with other mods can sometimes be a problem. For instance, compatibility issues can lead to a Wraith King spawning the next to the character in the game. Unfortunately, these are common modding problems, so most view minor bugs as acceptable for better customization options.
