Strikers Edge is a premium action game created by developer Fun Punch Games. It puts a medieval twist on the sport of dodgeball by having ancient warriors duke it out using deadly weapons and special powers. Players have to do whatever it takes to beat their opponent on the other side.

Strikers Edge is basically what would happen if the sport of dodgeball existed back in medieval times wherein participants would be battle-hardened warriors. Instead of your typical rubber, foam, or cloth balls, you'll use weapons and special powers to best your opponent. Choose between 1v1 or 2v2 matchups and four distinct arenas that each feature unique environments and layouts to consider and take advantage of during combat.

As of this writing, the game features eight strikers available to you. Pick that one you like based on their stats, unique skill sets, and play styles that make each one ideal against specific types of enemies. You even get to know about their back story when you play the single-player campaign. Combat revolves around placing carefully aimed shots at your opponents as you slowly wither down their health.

You can also take advantage of a deflection mechanic that lets you send back enemy attacks with perfect-timed blocks. Since most attacks bounce off walls, you can also shoot down incoming projectiles to reduce your chances of getting hit with ricochets. There is a certain lack of active players, though, making it hard to find opponents online. Also, some server issues result in noticeable lag during matches.

If you're a fan of dodgeball on and off the court, Strikers Edge is a fun and interesting take on the sport that elevates it to become more of a fantasy action game.
