Streets of Handbags, developed by the indie developer Velest for PC, is a simulation intended for shopaholics who enjoy shopping games. In this RPG-meets-casual title, players must guide a grandmother, who forgets her wallet, to the local supermarket and find a way to get the money for the purchases. 

Streets of Handbags delivers fun and comedic gameplay and uses various mechanics, such as roguelite and bullet hell. However, although the game utilizes these mechanics, it has no shooting or combat aspect. Instead, it is a fast-paced, multi-tasking title that can be overwhelmingly chaotic. 

Earn money for ingredients 

With its hand-drawn 2D visuals, Streets of Handbags immerses you in a colorful world in which you must lead a grandmother to the local supermarket, where she is supposed to shop for ingredients written in a recipe book. Unfortunately, she forgets to bring her own wallet, leaving you the responsibility of coming up with ideas to get money and pay for all the items. 

Be mindful of time. Grandma is old and tends to forget what she wants when time runs out. So, do your errands quickly, like making small deliveries and picking up coins from the ground. Ensure that people are out of the way, as this can also be another thing to keep Grandma waiting. These things let you collect points and make a way for you to improve your skills. 

Once you have paid for the ingredients, go home and try the recipe to make meta-progression in the game. In addition, you can obtain in-game achievements. Do not forget to save money, though. Make sure to buy Grandma new handbags. However, one major drawback of this game is its assets, which can look like cut-out stickers layered on top of backgrounds. It can give a low-quality and outdated feel.
