Enhanced horror game with strategic gameplay
Engage in team combat in this sci-fi FPS
Starship Troopers: Extermination is a multiplayer sci-fi action game from Offworld Industries that sets you against hordes of giant insect enemies. It’s a 3D FPS game that allows up to 16 players for each round to defeat bug-like aliens and save your colonies. Developed by Offworld, it’s available on PC and gaming consoles.
Starship Troopers: Extermination works similarly to games like Counter-Strike, Destiny 2, Deep Rock Galactic, and Ready or Not—which gives players a cooperative multiplayer first-person shooter gameplay experience. In this game, players are dropped off at a certain location with other players, where they must scour for weapons and other equipment to help them defeat enemies.
Starship Troopers: Extermination gives players the chance to engage in team battles with other players worldwide. It puts you in the boots of Mobile Infantry soldiers tasked with defending humanity from an overwhelming arachnid invasion. You can choose from three different classes—Assault, Support, and Defense—to determine your role among your group. Regardless of your class, you need to work with everyone to collect a wide variety of weapon types and special equipment.
Players must communicate and coordinate to achieve objectives such as gathering resources, securing zones, and building bases to fend off waves of bugs. In case you’re too far from your teammates, you can easily contact them with the handy Ping system. This acts as a convenient way to call your troop’s attention without alerting any insect aliens. In this game, you have the freedom to explore a sizable map with five unique zones, each with its own set of special items and opponents, so make sure to keep an eye out.
You can also be able to make use of the resources you gather to build useful constructs like walls, towers, and ammo stations. Additionally, the game features a progression system where players can unlock new weapons, perks, and tools as they level up. This sense of progression adds depth and keeps players invested, giving them a reason to return to missions even after completing them.
Update 1.4 of Starship Troopers: Extermination introduces new content and quality-of-life improvements to elevate the battlefield experience. One of the most noticeable changes is the updated bleed-out and death indicator system. A skull icon now clearly marks death, while a bleeding out icon and a depleting bar help players assess how much time is left to rescue a squadmate before it’s too late.
In addition, the XP feed has been streamlined to reduce screen clutter during hectic combat. Simultaneous XP events are now grouped into a single entry, making it easier to track progress without distraction. Another standout feature is the FedNet News Broadcast Camera—collectible devices found during missions that let you document key moments and capture heroic efforts and the chaos of the battles.
Beyond these features, Update 1.4 also brings tuning changes to the armory, including new weapon modifications that expand customization options. Players can also expect a variety of bug fixes, user interface enhancements, and overall performance improvements. Together, these changes make for a more polished and responsive experience, ensuring that every mission feels smoother, more balanced, and even more immersive than before.
For players who are into the action-heavy gameplay experience, Starship Troopers: Extermination is a must-try game. The game features three playable classes and a large explorable map with five zones providing a wide world to explore. In addition to the exciting multiplayer battle format, you can also look forward to numerous hours of repeatable gameplay thanks to the various weapons and collectibles for you to unlock, as well as the different areas of the large map to explore.
