“Справочник терапевта” is a free Android application developed by MedElement Co. It contains an extensive database of medical information about various diseases and conditions structured according to ICD-10. The application is a professional reference book for general practitioners and medical students.

The handbook comprises review articles and clinical protocols (diagnosis and treatment standards). The review articles on diseases are prepared by a team of experienced clinicians on the basis of scientific and educational literature, international standards, and recommendations of healthcare organizations and communities. The clinical protocols are developed by the Ministry of Health and Social Development (Kazakh standards).

The application conveniently groups all information about diseases by sections (etiology, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, complications, prevention). Currently, the handbook more fully describes digestive system diseases (gastroenterology) and circulatory diseases (cardiology). Work is underway to introduce respiratory diseases (pulmonology) and fill the endocrinology sections, congenital diseases, and dentistry.
