The Snake and Ladder Game is played between two or more players on a board that is divided into a number of paths or lanes, each of which contains a number of tiles. In some variations, the board is divided into two or four lanes, and a player can move into a lane that is not occupied by any tiles. In the game, the object is to move your token to the endpoint, which is located at the opposite end of the board. The token can be moved from the start to the endpoint in one of the four possible directions, and can be moved on the same path as another token, or on a path that crosses or intersects another path. The token can be moved only if there is an opening in the tile at the end of the path, and the path must be free from any obstacles, which include other tokens, lines, edges, and other objects.
