The game is played between two people. One starts with three beads and places them on any of the nine positions on the board. The other player starts with three beads and they are also placed on the board. The goal is to get rid of all the beads in the first player's hand, by placing them in a row or column. If the first player makes the row or column, then the second player gets the point. If not, then the first player gets the point.
