Seedsow Lullaby is an adventure game. It is a beautifully crafted visual novel that takes players on an emotional journey through time and mythology. The story follows three generations of women—Misuzu, her mother Yoko, and her daughter Tsumugi—who, despite being from different timelines, come together for an extraordinary adventure.  

Seedsow Lullaby is centered around the Seedsow Ceremony, an ancient ritual in which the Maidens guide the gods toward their inevitable demise to make way for a new generation of immortals. Misuzu is a young girl who lost her mother at an early age. 

The land of the Gods awaits 

In Seedsow Lullaby, Misuzu is visited by her sixteen-year-old mother, Yoko, who has traveled from the year 1996. Yoko has been chosen for the Seedsow Ceremony and invites Misuzu to accompany her to the Eternal Realm, where they must help guide the gods toward their end before True Winter consumes the world. Their journey takes them to the year 2050, where they meet Misuzu’s own sixteen-year-old daughter, Tsumugi. 

Tsumugi joins them on their fated mission. Along the way, they encounter Hiruko, a mysterious figure who claims to be Misuzu’s younger brother and acts as their guide through the sacred land. The game’s narrative is deeply emotional, focusing on themes of loss, destiny, and the unbreakable bonds of family. While the game does not feature branching paths or choices, it delivers a beautifully written and poignant story. 

This story unfolds like an ancient myth. The rich landscapes of the Eternal Realm, untouched by time, create an enchanting setting filled with lush forests, mystical ruins, and sacred temples. The writing is poetic and melancholic, with a dreamlike quality that makes the player feel like they are witnessing an age-old legend unfold. However, it is heavily text-focused, which may not appeal to all players.
