Created by indie developer Ivan Zanotti's MyMadnessWorks, Lala is Bound is a free adventure third-person horror prototype game submitted as an entry for the 2023 Game Maker Italia contest. It features puzzles and tank-based controls and is reminiscent of other horror titles like Resident Evil.

Presents you with contracts

In Lala is Bound, the titular character awakens in an unknown facility, and the player must help her escape this forsaken place, avoid the Housekeeper, and win the game by gazing at the moon. Depending on the player, Lala can accept or decline the proposed contracts. 

These can contain perks and encumbrances that can potentially alter your gameplay experience. While the game has an interesting premise, getting accustomed to the tank-based controls can pose a challenge for some players. The opening tutorial is also too dark, making the text almost unreadable.

Lala is Bound is an escape game featuring a unique gameplay mechanic: contracts. When you accept a contract, the gameplay can change in a way that makes the experience of escaping from a facility more engaging and heart-thumping. The tank-based controls may not be everyone’s cup of tea, though.
