Set in the beloved Gensokyo universe, this pixel-art title stars shrine maiden Sanae Kochiya as she investigates a mysterious attack on her shrine—armed with the quirky, powerful “SPELL SPOILER” ability. 

Fresh abilities, classic mayhem 

Sanae’s ability to inhale and mimic enemy powers adds fun variety to gameplay. Dashing, levitating, and sliding through stages keep the pace exciting, while transformations offer strategic depth. SANAE’s Sylphid Breeze shifts between grounded platforming and exhilarating aerial battles. However, some platforming sections can feel slightly imprecise at times. 

The game’s pixel art is colorful and endearing, as fully voiced dialogue (in Japanese) adds personality to characters, and mini-games like the Tengu Race keep things fresh. Breeze Mode is a welcome feature for newcomers, softening the difficulty. Some UI elements and menus, though, could use better polish and localization.
