The "Rīgas satiksmes koda biļete" mobile app is designed to make purchasing public transport tickets more convenient and accessible. This app is specifically created for buying QR code tickets online and using them on trams, trolleybuses, and buses. Upon boarding a transport vehicle, the purchased ticket needs to be activated on your phone by scanning the QR code located in multiple places throughout the vehicle or by entering the identification number displayed below the QR code. Each transport vehicle has a unique QR code and identification number. In the event of a ticket inspection, users need to open the app and present their registered ticket to the inspector. Tickets are valid for three months from the time of purchase. An internet connection is required to purchase the tickets.
