Rīgas satiksmes koda biļete is a mobile application developed by RP SIA Rīgas satiksme. The app aims to make the purchase of public transport tickets more convenient and accessible. It allows users to buy code tickets online and use them on trams, trolleybuses, and buses. Upon boarding the vehicle, the ticket purchased on the phone must be activated by scanning the QR code located in several places throughout the vehicle salon or by entering the identification number visible beneath the QR code. Each vehicle has a unique QR code and identification number. If a controller boards the transport, the user must open the app and show the registered ticket to the controller. The app allows the purchase of up to 10 single ride tickets for the full fare. The tickets must be used within three months of purchase.
