Contrary to most RPG games, you have to work your way to victory by being one of three anti-heroes. In Quest for Infamy, you have to lie, steal and cheat your way to the top. You may enjoy the game, but one wishes they would update and improve the graphics to make the game more playable by non-committed RPG lovers.

Multiple endings depending on your actions

There are plenty of games where the ending differs depending upon a single decision, such as with Silent Hill 2 where you don't see the sad child abuse ending if you don't examine the bloody knife. Quest for Infamy is a little different because they have created many different endings that rely on more than three factors. The game is not very advanced in terms of graphics, so they were able to create more forks in the road without running out of their development budget. The graphics are terrible to the point of being similar to Atari RPG games. Nevertheless, the core game play gives you plenty to do with your character, which helps to make up for the less-than-impressive graphics.

A game for true RPG lovers

The lack of good graphics and the 2D game play makes Quest for Infamy a difficult game to play if you cannot overlook the way it looks. Only true RPG lovers will enjoy this game for all the different paths you may take and the different game styles depending upon each anti-hero you play. There are over 50 NPCs to interact with and over 200 rooms to explore, so there is plenty to do. If you can play the old Fallout games (Fallout 1,2,3 and Tactics) and endure their graphics, then you can certainly play this game.
