Planet Alcatraz, developed by 1C Company, is a 3D role-playing game with an isometric projection. The game occurs on the prison planet Alcatraz, where the player controls a sabotage group to accomplish their mission. The game is a non-linear adventure with a mix of several genres, but it doesn't get stuck between them and appears to be a classical RPG based on a specially developed system.

The game's universe is unique, and creating the main character allows for changing essential characteristics and appearance, including facial animation based on LifeMode technology. The tense atmosphere is determined by deep immersion in the planet's criminal world, and a comprehensive dialogue system allows the player to choose how to behave and communicate on their own.
