Pixect is a free multimedia application developed by Pixect. It is a photography tool that enables users to take pictures online and record videos with their device's cameras. It comes with various effects and filters that you can use to elevate your photos and videos.

Pixect also allows you to take multiple pictures of yourself and create a photo collage from them. Moreover, you can also edit the photos you've taken. However, the tools you can use are a bit limited compared with standalone photo editing apps. Additionally, there is a three-second delay whenever you take a photo.

What does the app offer?

Pixect works the same way as any camera app. From it, you can snap pictures and use some of the dozen effects to make your photo stand out. It comes with standard effects, including sepia, black & white, comic, glow, colored pencil, fish eye, stretch, light tunnel, x-ray, and even pop art. More than effects, you can also add backdrops to your pictures.

The app takes its features further by adding a photo collage tool. With this, you can take multiple photos of yourself and summarize them into one picture.  Moreover, this feature allows you to edit the frames of each shot to make your collage interesting. You can flip the photo horizontally and vertically before you take the snapshot. As mentioned, the app also works as a video recorder.

Like other similar apps, this one comes with basic image editing tools. You can change the brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation. However, while it allows you to remove blurred and de-focused spots, you will need a separate photo editing app for better image editing. But, if you're happy with your pictures, you can share them on your social media accounts directly from the app.

Is the app good?

All in all, Pixect is your typical camera application. It has the same basic features that most apps have. Even its image editing tools are on the simpler side.
