Although no Workshop content was deleted, the harmful mod removed players’ Contraptions folders, deleted other game files, and replaced user-created mods with copies of itself to continue spreading. Players were urged to secure their installations immediately and carefully.

Players were advised to verify game files, delete local mods folders, remove Workshop files, and unsubscribe from suspicious uploads after January 30th. The developer also contacted Steam for assistance and released a patch designed to block the exploit. While the Workshop remains offline until Steam responds, the update should keep users safe. Further announcements are expected once the investigation progresses and services return.
