A microscopic war for survival

Pathogenic Demo is an action game where you play as a disease. This 2D roguelike twin-stick shooter turns the human body into a living battlefield, where you play as a lone parasite struggling to infect, adapt, and evolve against an unrelenting immune system within a world of microscopic chaos.

Evolve, adapt, and conquer

Pathogenic Demo’s strength lies in its innovative evolution system. Every encounter feels like a strategic experiment as you rip organelles from defeated cells to enhance your own parasite. From mitochondria to secretors, each upgrade alters how you fight, move, and survive, allowing for near-limitless build possibilities and creative playstyles.

The game’s procedurally generated biomes—lungs, heart, and brain—offer a stunning yet grotesque visual feast. Every cell pulsates with life, enhanced by soft-body physics that gives combat an organic feel. The variety of enemies and bosses keeps the action tense and unpredictable. However, note that it’s still in active development

A promising game

With three parasites, dozens of organelles, and endless combinations, Pathogenic Demo teases an experience that’s as strategic as it is chaotic. Aberrant Labs’ microscopic adventure infects players with excitement for what the full game could become—a thrilling, evolving war beneath the skin.
