PApp - Die Patientenapp is a free Android app developed by RWTH Aachen University, designed to help users manage their medication more efficiently. With PApp, users can import their nationwide medication plans into their smartphone and update them with ease. The app allows users to add prescription and non-prescription drugs, change dosage information, pause existing medication, and add further information such as reasons or notes.

It is highly recommended to discuss any changes with a doctor or pharmacist before making any modifications. PApp saves all changes to your medication in a traceable manner, which can be useful when visiting a doctor or pharmacy. Additionally, PApp allows users to pass on updated plans in digital form. The updated barcode can be displayed on the user's device and scanned by other devices such as those found at a doctor or pharmacist's office. Alternatively, the updated plans can be sent as a PDF to an email address stored in the app, which can then be printed out on paper.
