Overleaf Autocomplete and BibTeX Shortcut is a Chrome extension designed to improve the usability of BibTeX within the Overleaf platform. This tool offers three primary functionalities: a customizable shortcut for auto-complete and reference searches, automatic text pasting into the reference search bar, and a direct shortcut to open the reference search.

The extension replaces the default Ctrl+Space (or Alt+Space) shortcut with Ctrl+J, allowing users to access the auto-complete and advanced reference search more conveniently. Additionally, if a user has highlighted text in the editor, this extension will automatically insert that text into the reference search bar. For even quicker access, pressing Ctrl+Shift+J opens the advanced search directly, streamlining the workflow for researchers and writers using Overleaf.
