Operation Spring Awakening 1945 is a turn-based strategy game that puts you in control of Axis forces tasked with securing the last Axis oilfields located in Hungary and Austria by retaking the city of Budapest and clearing the western side of the river Danube of the Red Army divisions. You have been given a third of all the Panzer formations on the Eastern Front, and two spearheads from both sides of Lake Balaton, while the third, weaker attack will be launched from the south.

The game offers a logistic dimension, allowing you to play with fuel depots and fuel trucks to keep the mechanized armed forces moving. The scenario mirrors the historical order-of-battle to ensure historical accuracy. The AI opponent is not predictable and considers strategic goals and smaller tasks like encircling nearby units when making its moves. The game also offers a ton of options to alter the gaming experience: Change difficulty level, what unit types and resource types are in play, hexagon size, animation, and much more.

Overall, Operation Spring Awakening 1945 is a historically accurate and challenging strategy game that is sure to please wargamers. The game is available for Android and is developed by Joni Nuutinen, who has been offering highly rated Android-only strategy board games since 2011.
