A visionary city-building journey
Game for creating your own base
One Military Camp is a strategy game that involves creating a military camp and partaking in missions to liberate territories from the evil clutches of Dagan while earning virtual money in the process. In this game, you can decorate your base and recruit and train personnel for your military escapades.
One Military Camp features a sandbox mode where you can make your own rules, in the sense that you can participate in procedural missions as well as choose your preferred starting conditions. Unfortunately, players can get bored of playing this game as it suffers from linearity and repetitive gameplay.
Base-building games help get your strategic thinking and creative juices up and running. One such game is One Military Camp. When you click “New game” and “CAMPAIGN,” you’ll be asked to name your base—and once you tap “Accept”—a cutscene introducing Dragan and his henchmen will be played on screen. Afterwards, you’ll be taken to a military camp where you’re going to build your base from the ground up.
You can skip the tutorial if you want to jump right into the action. For newbies, however, it’s recommended not to skip the game’s tutorial so you have an idea of its mechanics. In your base, you can construct buildings, create road tracks, add electric poles, and many more. Decoratives are also available for added visual appeal. New recruits will show up at your base, too.
In their recruiting forms, you can read their bio and assess their Speed, Strength, Intelligence, and Accuracy stats. These recruits can be rejected or hired as a Private, Maintenance staff, and many more. There are job specializations as well. If they’re a Private, for example, you can train them to become artillery personnel or a comms operator—depending on your needs or current mission objectives.
One Military Camp looks fun at first given that you can hire and train troops, decorate your base, and many more. Its sandbox feature—on the other hand—takes your gameplay to the next level as it gives you the option to select a starting condition and partake in procedural missions. However, its drawbacks lie in its linear and repetitive gameplay—which can bore players.
